DAY 2 - Destination - Kiwetinok Pass and beyond
The plan was to hike to Kiwetinok Pass and then see how much further everyone wanted to go. There seemed to be a few nagging knees and  barking bodies to stretch out before we knew how far we wanted to go.

Panoramic view from Stanley Mitchell Hut to Kiwetinok Mtn on the right.

After a great sleep and hearty breakfast, the eager beavers are ready to go.

Just a slight pack adjustment.

A few of us brought sandals for the creek crossings while others wished they had.

Safe on the other side of the creek.

Ahhh, ouch, ohhhhh.
Christ that's cold!

Cruising through the meadows which were full of flowers.

Steve, Joanne and Donna skirting around the creeks.

Barb making her way across the last wee creek before we reached Kiwetinok Lake.

A fine place for lunch.

Patti, who didn't bring sandals for the creek crossings, was trying to dry out her socks.

Kiwetinok Lake looking up to Kiwetinok Peak on the left. Ziggy's mission was to climb up to Kiwetinok Pass then on to Mt. Pollinger and Mt. McArthur before making his way back to the hut. Vic was the only taker in that venture.

Although we didn't all rally to the challenge of climbing the three peaks, we sent our camera man Vic to capture the moment for us. Looking down from the peak to Kiwetinok Lake.
Here are shots of Ziggy and Vic's trip.

Now that's a view.

Signing the log book.

It was worth the climb.

Soaking up the view.

Mt. McArthur, Mt. Pollinger, and Hanging Valley.

The rest of us tackled the wee hike up to Kerr Pass to see what was on the other side of the valley. From there, Steve, Barb and Rod hiked up to the top of Mt. Kerr. The rest of us opted to laze about the lake and soak in the sunshine.

From Kerr Pass looking into the next valley.

MOVIE: Kerr Pass Panoramic

Starts by looking down the valley towards the hut and then pans to the south to Mt. Kerr, the valley to the west and over to Mt. Kiwetinok.

While enjoying a nice cup of tea outside the hut we met Yore and the HOGS. They stopped for a lunch  break and visit before continuing on    to complete the circuit of the Iceline, Whaleback, and Takakkaw Falls all in one day. Argh

Finally, after bagging 3 peaks, Ziggy and Vic finally make it back to the hut. They were certainly very happy but tired after their days adventure.

While the boys were out bagging peaks we were inside relaxing and enjoying some wonderful appies and a glass of wine or two.

End of Day 2 - Hop to Day 3 or back to Day 1.
