On January 10th, Glynn Wright led a small but
keen group into Paradise Valley in search of the illusive Giant Steps. Also on
the trip were Roy Scarisbrick, Carol Guthrie and guest, Ursula Wohlfarth.

It was a cloudy day, but the sun did manage to sneak through the clouds
now and then. |

It was tough going trying to break trail on the skinny skis. The Giant
Steps would have to wait for another day. |

YAMNUSKA - Jan 2004
1st hike of the season
While we waited for another dump of snow we
decided to hike around Yamnuska.

From here it's a short traverse under the rock wall and down the scree. We took
a minute to boot ski down this snow slope first. |
|
|
We hadn't originally planned to hike right round Yam, but
once up top it seemed like the thing to do.
