On the July long
weekend, a group of us from the
Elbow Valley Cycle Club went to the
Crowsnest and Fernie area to do some
mountain biking. |
The EVCC members
were Kim Hooper, John King, Andrea
Freeman, Roy Scarisbrick, Carol Guthrie,
Roberta Hunt, Chris Gilham, Doug Gray, and
guests Bryan Garrett, Andrew Riggs. Marty
Stanvick also joined us for one day of
riding. |

Our first great view although the climb is not over yet. About 12
kilometres in
total. |

We finally take a lunch break at the top of the climb.

Hey, who invited you? And what are you?
Check the snout! |
| |
After lunch it was all down
hill. Well mostly anyway:
there was the odd grunty
little climb. |

Andrew and Doug ready for take off. |
It was a long nasty section
down.
Too bad I missed John on camera.
He helmet-cammed himself doing a
couple of flips over the bars though. What a guy. |
| |
| |
| |
After climbing in the heat the
creeks were a welcome relief to cool down. Roberta tried laying down to
see if that would help! And watermelon at the end to quench the
thirst. |

Another fabulous four-day
mountain bike trip comes to an end! We plan on going back next summer! |
