We have a short video of the trip. Give us a call if you want a CD or DVD version.

Vic Panei and Ursula Wohlfarth organized a cycling trip to the Gulf and San Juan Islands. They were met by Betty and John Alliston, Roy Scarisbrick and Carol Guthrie in Sydney, B.C. We were joined by Bill and Jean Waddell for the US Islands. Due to the ferry schedules we found it easier to make a base in Sydney and do day trips to the various islands.

We met at the Sydney ferry terminal and prepared for our first day of cycling.

Our first stop was the bakery at the Driftwood Center. After all, we'd need some sustenance to ride those hills!

Broom grows everywhere on the island.

Arriving at our lunch spot we had a great view of Mt. Baker.

Lunch on the beach with plenty of sunshine.

Now there's a sandwich.

The caterpillars were dancing on this nest.
